Hydrotherapy, formerly called hydropathy, involves the therapeutic use of water in treating musculoskeletal disorders such as arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, or spinal cord injuries, and in patients suffering burns, spasticity, stroke or paralysis, and to improve fitness. The aim is to facilitate strengthening and stretching, in a reduced gravity environment, to achieve movement or joint mobility by our qualified physiotherapist.
Not only is hydrotherapy effective as a treatment option, it is a relaxed and fun environment to enjoy your treatment.
An initial consultation in the clinic is required to identify your contraindications and limitations and to write a suitable program. Your program can then be delivered privately or in group sessions. Private Sessions are conducted at the pool of your choice.
